Halloween Disney Movies

Halloween is fast approaching, making it the perfect time to have family time together by watching Disney Halloween movies. It’s the ideal activity, especially if you are like me and don’t celebrate Halloween.  The whole family can enjoy so many great Disney Halloween movies to choose from.  So let’s talk about some that you might want to add to your watchlist this Halloween season!

Coco

Coco is one of my faves, and it has nothing to do with me attending the premiere in Hollywood! Well, maybe a little.  Miguel dreams of being a musician, but his family has banned music and musicians. When Miguel finds himself in the colorful Land of the Dead, he embarks on a journey and uncovers his family’s history.

Halloweentown

Halloweentown is a classic Disney Halloween favorite about Marnie, Sophie, and Dylan, who discover their mom is a witch when their grandmother visits. Grandma Aggie takes them to a magical place called Halloweentown, where they discover that witches, goblins, and vampires are real. If your family enjoys the characters in Halloweentown, you will be pleased to know that there are three more movies in this series.

Hocus Pocus

You can’t watch Hocus Pocus 2 with the family if they have never enjoyed seeing the first movie Hocus Pocus! The original Hocus Pocus tells the tale of how Max, Dani, and Allison stumble across three witches living in an abandoned house. The three must steal the Sanderson sisters’ book of spells before they can become immortal on Halloween!

Hocus Pocus 2

If you are a Disney fan, you probably already know that the long-awaited Hocus Pocus 2 has finally been released and is available for streaming on Disney plus. Hocus Pocus 2 revisits the three Sanderson sisters, who are accidentally reawakened 29 years after the first movie by three high school students. These students must figure out how to stop the Sanderson sisters and their mayhem before sunrise on All Hallows Eve!

Toy Story of Terror

If you have some little ones watching Halloween movies with you this year, you might want to add Toy Story of Terror to your Disney Halloween watchlist! Woody, Buzz, Jesse, and the gang go on a road trip and have to spend the night at a haunted hotel after they get a flat tire. One toy in the gang goes missing, and they all experience strange events!

Disney

Muppets Haunted Mansion

Instead of attending this year’s big Halloween bash, Gonzo and Page have decided to spend the night inside the Haunted Mansion! Featuring all of your favorite muppet characters, some funny puns, and Halloween movie Easter eggs for the grown-ups who may be watching, this movie is a fun watch for all age groups.

Disney

Spooky Buddies

If there are some dog lovers, or maybe even a furry friend climbing up on the couch to enjoy a Halloween movie with you, then make sure you add Disney’s Spooky Buddies to your movie list. The film is about talking puppies that dress up in Halloween costumes and explore a scary mansion. Along the way, they make friends with a ghost who helps them defeat a witch who wants to take over their town!

Disney

Girl Vs. Monster

This Disney channel Halloween movie is about Skylar, who tries to sneak out of the house without her parents finding out. In the process, she accidentally releases a monster from her basement; as it turns out, her parents are monster hunters. Now she has to become a monster hunter, too, to save her parents and the town before Halloween is over.

Under Wraps

Under Wraps is a Disney movie about three friends who accidentally bring a mummy they found in their neighbor’s basement back to life. These friends must return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween! This movie is enjoyable for the whole family, and if you like this one, check out the sequel, Under Wraps 2. You can find both of them streaming on the Disney plus app.

Disney

Frankenweenie

This Disney movie has a unique twist on the Frankenstein story. Once Victor’s beloved dog, Sparky, passes away, he uses science to bring his best pal back to life. If the animation looks familiar, it should, and this film is written and directed by Tim Burton.

Disney

These are far from all of the Disney Halloween movies that you can find to watch with your family this Halloween season, but they should get you started. Quite a few of the movies on this list just came out this year, so that you can include some new Halloween movies and some old favorites! Get the popcorn ready and settle on the couch for spooky family-friendly fun!
