My Nutcracker And The Four Realms Dance Experience With #DWTS Pros

A few months ago, I had the chance to attend the red carpet premier of Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms.  During the trip me and 24 other bloggers were also invited to visit the Pro Dance LA dance studio and learn a dance inspired by the Nutcracker and the Four Realms taught by Dancing with the Stars” pros and “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” mentors Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten and Gleb Savchenko.

We arrived at the Pro Dance LA studio ready and eager to learn.  And after a short interview with the guys, we broke into groups and began rehearsing our routine.  The groups were based on the Nutcracker and the Four Realms, I was part of the Land of Snowflakes.  I don’t want to assume that you’ve seen the movie, but you’re in luck because it is being released on Digital and Blu-Ray on January 29th.

Friends I was so ready to get started with the dance.  You see, I have had an ongoing disagreement with my good friend Yvonne McNair for nearly four years, she seems to think that I can’t dance.  Now, I have NO idea why she believes this.  I tried to tell her that I was on a dance team in high school, but she’s convinced that dancing is not my thing.  So, I when I heard that we were being taught by #DWTS pros, I was like YAAASSS!  I can finally prove my point.  LOL!!!

We did right?!?!  I know!!! Seriously, I had so much fun dancing with these guys and the super fun group of bloggers.  I am eager to blast the song from the film on my new speaker, fill up this super cute water bottle and practice my skills with my hubby and son.  This is going to be interesting!

But I also enjoyed the other lesson that I was reminded of by our talented instructors….Never Give Up!  I can still remember someone asking, “what messages would each of you give to young dancers who are following their dance dreams?”  Brandon shouted first, “Never Give Up”!  Then Gleb and Alan said the same thing.  I’ve had to tell myself that so many times since returning home from this amazing experience.  Now I am sharing it with you. Not only do I want you to dance like no one is watching to the music of your life, but I want you to Never Give Up on your dreams, goals….life!  And please tell me what you think of my dance skills.  LOL!

  1. I still haven’t seen the movie yet, I can’t wait to be able to see it this weekend with my kids. The behind the scenes look was incredible.
