Disney’s Aulani Resort And It’s New Ka Wa’a Luau

What could be better than a vacation in Hawaii?  How about a Hawaiian Disney Resort vacation at Aulani Resort and Spa…From the second we arrived on the grounds, this was the most magically vacation we have ever experienced!

We arrived in the lobby which had an authentic Hawaiian feel with the perfect splash of Disney.  The lobby was beautiful.   It felt like you were walking through a huge canoe that was perfectly caved displaying artistic genius that just says, Aloha.  I couldn’t help but notice the carefully inclusive hidden Mickeys in the carpet, walls, and art which reminded me we were still at one of the most magically places in the world.

We couldn’t wait to walk the beautiful grounds but didn’t pass up pictures with my husband’s favorite character (doesn’t surprise me that Goofy is his favorite).

Walking through the resort, you can’t help but notice the careful planning that was taken to keep traditions in place.  Everything from the design of the resort to the activity lagoon, it was evident that I was in Hawaii and never going home!!!

Sunrises included Yoga on the beach, with daytime activities of paddle boarded and swimming, while the nightfall was a relaxing movie on the lawn with Timon and Pumbaa.  Most days, Goofy got the party started poolside, we snorkeled with the hidden Mickeys, and the Menehune Adventure Trail scavenger hunt provided water downtime as we made volcanoes erupt, splashed lazy river loungers, and located the hidden Menehune statues.  We spent most evenings exploring both the indoor and outdoor trails.

One of the best memories of the trip was when Chance lost a tooth.  Yes, it was a front tooth and I was devastated.  He was excited and told one of the staff members who told us to go by guest servicers.  To our surprise, they gave him a special box to hold his prized possession and a certificate of authenticity that he lost a tooth at Disney Aulani.  He was all smiles from ear to ear just with a little missing in the middle.

Every morning, my husband was nowhere in sight.  He would awake each morning to witness the amazing sunrises.  He told me he wanted to always have this vision embedding in his brain as his “happy place”.

We been blessed to visit many places on this beautiful Earth including Africa but there is only one place we all agree we could visit every year would be  Aulani Resort and Spa.

We are planning to make our way back in June of 2019, and we are looking forward to seeing the new Ka Wa ‘a Luau – a full evening of exhilarating song, dance and storytelling as you enjoy a lavish Hawaiian feast..  Ahola!
