I’m Going To Dance With The Nutcracker’s Wooden Soldiers On The Red Carpet! #DisneysNutcrackerEvent

I was invited to an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles courtesy of Disney to attend the #DisneysNutcrackerEvent & #ABCTVEvent in exchange for my coverage. No other compensation was provided. All views shared are completely my own.

This is my favorite time of the year…well besides June when I celebrate my son’s birthday.  But, I love the holidays!!  I am the one planning Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, registering the family for a gift exchange, and celebrating with friends by hosting an ugly sweater party.  Yup, I am all about the holidays that’s why when I received the invite for Disney’s THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS I was over the moon happy.

I KNOW!!!  When the email Disney and ABC Invite You to Los Angeles from 10/28 – 10/30 for the #DisneysNutcrackerEvent came through, I could not respond with a resounding “YES” fast enough!  I will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet for the premiere of THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS (opening in theatres 11/2), interview cast members and directors like Mackenzie Foy who plays “Clara”, Misty Copeland who plays “The Ballerina” and learn some of the dances performed in the movie….WHAT?!?!?

As a kid, I remember reading The Nutcracker and seeing versions of the mystical book brought to life through film.  To know that I now have an opportunity to dance (maybe just stand beside them…LOL)  with Wooden Soldiers down the red carpet is magical.

Movie Synopsis: All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.

As the mom of a nine-year-old growing boy, it is really important for me to keep the joy and fun of being a kid in our home and his life.  They grow up so fast and lose interest in “kid” things, THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS is the perfect holiday movie to bring the childlike wonder back into his heart.

Looks amazing huh?  I know, it is going to be delightful!  But wait… there’s more.  Earlier this year I was invited to the red-carpet premiere of CHRISTOPHER ROBIN but was not able to go due to the sudden death of my aunt Debra.  It was devasting.   That’s why I am super excited that I get to celebrate the release of CHRISTOPHER ROBIN on Digital and Blu-ray (11/6) by attending a “Friendsgiving” lunch inspired by Pooh’s favorite thing, HUNNY and interviewing the voice of “Pooh” and “Tigger”, Jim Cummings! I am so freakin’ excited!!!

Movie Synopsis: In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s “CHRISTOPHER ROBIN,” the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

Hold on, there’s more.  Lastly, we will swing by ABC for a sneak peek of Station 19, The Kids Are Alright and participate in a dance class with Dancing with The Stars and Dancing with The Stars Juniors mentors Gleb Savchenko, Alan Bersten, and Brandon Armstrong.  Fun stuff right…I know!!!

Pretty amazing stuff, right?  Again, I am honored to attend this media trip with Disney for THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS.  I enjoy having an opportunity to share the excitement of meeting celebs or strolling the red carpet but more importantly sharing valuable lessons with you that we can share with our children.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing movie reviews, interviews and lessons learned from THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS in theatres on November 2nd, CHRISTOPHER ROBIN on Digital and Blu-Ray on November 6th, and the new ABC Television Shows STATION 19 and THR KIDS ARE ALRIGHT, along with my dance lessons.

It is my hope that you follow along using hashtag #DisneysNutcrackerEvent #ChristopherRobinBluRay or #ABCTVEvent to stay in the know of this amazing experience.
